AIR CONDITIONING CHECKS
Proper air conditioning service is essential for smooth trouble free operation, especially during the Hot Las Vegas Summers. Most major failures occur as a result of a small part failure and could have been prevented with proper maintenance.
Most people tell me that they never had their system checked because they were afraid that they would be pressured into buying something they don’t need, or worse yet, a whole new system. While that might be true with other companies, it couldn’t be further from the truth with Comfort Masters. With Comfort Masters, you can be assured of honest polite technicians who are nice, respectful and professional at all times. Also, and most importantly, “We will never pressure you to do anything!” That’s right, we are a no-pressure company that provides service you expect, with honesty, professionalism and integrity.
Our inspection begins when we pull up to your home where we properly introduce ourselves and explain what we will be doing. You are welcomed to watch and ask questions as we begin our Maintenance Tune-Up and Safety Check.
We begin by washing down the outside condenser coil. This alone increases system efficiency and allows adequate air flow across the condensing unit to properly complete the refrigeration cycle. We then turn the unit power off and check all wiring connections for tightness and burning. If any wires are burned, we replace them as part of our service. The components such as the coil, capacitor, and contactor are checked next. We then power up the unit and energize the system from the thermostat. We let the system stabilize for about 10 minutes, while we replace your 1” thick return air filters if you have them, or wash them out if they are washable. After that we check all electrical operating amperages to be sure they are within manufactures guidelines. The refrigerant pressures are checked using the superheat method, which assures proper system charging for peak efficiency. If the system is low, we include up to 1 pound of Freon as part of the service. Upon completion, we provide written documentation explaining what we did and listing any recommendations, which we feel are required for safe and efficient operation. Again, you are under no obligation or PRESSURE to make any decisions. Take your time; we will be there when you are ready.
